The groups and recipes below are merely the first that will appear here; more will be added as time permits.
Breads
- Bread, whole-grain wheat/barley (no-knead) - a lower glycemic-index, essentially fool-proof, simply wonderful bread. You can make it with only a bowl and a spoon!
Cookies
- Biscotti, almond-barley - a more-healthy variation on an Italian classic. Made entirely with barley flour.
Custards, puddings
- Tapioca pudding - a reduced calorie, reduced sugar version that is really good food. (coming)
- Pumpkin custard - reduced fat, reduced calorie, and more flavorful, compared to pumpkin pie. Another really good food. (coming)
Condiments
- Cranberry sauce - more interesting and flavorful than usual, and a good polyphenol source. (coming)
- Jams, lower sugar "refrigerator" type - much more flavorful, easy to make, and a good source of polyphenols. (coming)
